Technology is wonderful when it's used to improve the lives of others; We think that the Lomak (Light Operated Mouse and Keyboard) is a glowing example of this! Such a computer could be used by people with disabilities. The pointer can be controlled by hand or it can be mounted on someone's head, where a beam of light is emitted. Hence, the light targets the input device and allows one to type a letter by simply moving their head. This idea recently won the gold medal at the 2007 IDEA design awards. Something tells us that this technology will be here sooner than we think!
